I've spent my career doing the work this playbook describes. I turned around a struggling Memphis high school. I founded a charter school in the district's lowest-performing seat and made it a school families chose on purpose. I led six campuses as Head of Schools and finished the year with zero leadership turnover — because I coached my leaders instead of replacing them. Along the way I've coached 30+ school leaders and supported over 150 schools nationwide.
Every one of those turnarounds ran on the same three things: clear systems, honest coaching, and leaders who knew exactly what was expected of them. That's part of what became the High Performing School Playbook.
Today I work with superintendents, boards, principals, and nonprofit executives as a Maxwell Certified Executive Coach.
